X5622

This is a clavichord in Lindholm's standard model.

The case of the instrument is separated from the bottom, which allows inspection of the underside of the soundboard. The scratched circles used to decide the positions of the bars are visible and the centre holes for the compass can be found on both sides of the soundboard.

The 8-foot bridge is separated from the soundboard and broken in parts, partly missing. The 4-foot bridge is missing.

The 8-foot bridge used here is a reconstruction, where the existing original parts have been positioned according to the theoretical model. The 4-foot bridge is borrowed from another Lindholm clavichord (G1799).
